Look closely at this shot of the fish from our cichlid tank. Can you see the beautiful Electric Yellow cichlid?
No, you can't, because the bastard blue cichlid, whch you can see, harassed it to death. Swine.
Ok, a contributing factor may have been that I cracked their normal aquarium when cleaning it. I had to transfer them to this pokey emergency tank, and the stress of being moved, along with the monster cichlid's bullying, was too much.
Alas, poor Aristotle. you will be missed.
The burial service was lovely.
We're in countdown mood, off to the airport in half an hour. The luggage has been checked, double-checked, checked again, re-checked, and the checked. If we're missing anything now it's not for lack of checking.
We've said our goodbyes to our gorgeous little cats. They're devastated at the thought of our leaving, as you can see in the photos.
Come on, girls, at least pretend you'll miss us. We do feed you, and give you somewhere warm to sleep.
Girls?
Oh, whatever.
Sara and Olav (the house-sitters - thanks, guys. Hope the cats treat you better than they're treating me) are here, and will drive us to the airport shortly. And I've trying to find something to do to keep me occupied in the meantime.
Maybe it's time to check the luggage again.
